Materials
Students should have the following:
-their own instrument & bow
-a spiral bound notebook for lesson notes and a folder for loose papers
-any music necessary (I will tell you what to get)
-a music stand to practice with at home
-a tuner & metronome to practice with at home (phone apps are fine!)
-a subscription to Smart Music (not required but recommended)
Policies
SCHEDULE
-Lessons will be scheduled out by the semester. Once you have your semester schedule then it is set for the semester unless I tell you otherwise. I will send a reminder schedule each month to confirm we are on the same page in case changes arise.
PAYMENT
-I will email you a monthly invoice/schedule around the 15th of each month to confirm our lesson dates for that month and give you an invoice for the lesson fees for that month.
-Payments for lessons are expected to be paid on a monthly basis. Payments for should be received by the first week of the month and no later than the 10th of the month. If payment is not received by the 10th of the month, a $10 late fee will be added.
-You may make your payment in one of three ways: 1) Automatic Bank Check – most banks will allow you to set up a monthly payment to be received by Meaghan Clayton via U.S. Mail on the date you set up with them. 2) Personal Check made out to Meaghan Clayton that is either delivered at your lesson or mailed via US Mail. 3) PayPal – please send to meaghanclayton@mac.com or https://www.paypal.me/MeaghanClayton
MISSING/RESCHEDULING A LESSON
-If you have a conflict come up, then you need to contact me at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule.
-If you do not contact me at least 24 hours in advance then you will still be financially responsible for that lesson and it will not be made up. I can be very flexible and willing to reschedule if something comes up, but only if you give me advance notice. (Thanks for understanding, I have to schedule (and pay) babysitters whether or not you come, thus making this policy necessary).
-If I have a conflict come up, I will always reschedule your lesson in a timely manner that works for us both.
